Changzhou, China – Changzhou Centrway Plastic Co., Ltd. has received official approval for its bio-based degradable food packaging and medical packaging production expansion project, as announced by the Changzhou Natural Resources and Planning Bureau on April 17, 2025. The construction project planning permit marks a significant milestone in the company's strategic growth, expanding its capabilities beyond traditional rigid plastic packaging into sustainable and medical-grade solutions.
Founded in April 2008 and headquartered in the Wujin Economic Development Zone, Changzhou Centrway Plastic Co., Ltd. is a leading domestic manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging. The company's existing product lines include plastic bucket and plastic bottle solutions serving industries such as lubricants, coatings, chemicals, food, and daily chemicals. The company utilizes PP, HDPE, LDPE, and PET materials across its diverse product portfolio, with PET being widely used for food-grade packaging applications due to its non-toxic, odorless, and high-transparency characteristics.
The expansion project focuses on bio-based degradable materials, aligning with the company's long-standing commitment to sustainability. Changzhou Centrway Plastic has been incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials—including recycled PET, PE, PP, and HDPE—into its packaging and daily-use products for years, achieving a lower carbon footprint and giving plastic waste a "second life." The company currently operates manufacturing facilities in Changzhou, Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Wuhan, with over 100 injection and blow molding machines and an annual production capacity exceeding 20 million packaging units. With ISO9000, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications, as well as food packaging and dangerous goods packaging production qualifications, Changzhou Centrway Plastic is well-positioned to serve both domestic and international markets.
